Music has always been something that’s very close to my heart. My artist/ stage name is Nandinho, and while I’ve been part of a few bands over the years, I found my real joy in writing songs — songs that tell stories. Since 2008, that’s been my thing: turning the people I meet — and the stories I hear — into music. I’ve always hoped that that much is evident in my music — just as it is in my writing — the joy of storytelling.
My debut album, Welcome to Cutletsville (released in 2022), is a collection of moments — some mine, some borrowed, all real. There’s a song about the attempt by a would-be arsonist to burn down the house of a former flame (all puns intended), and another about ‘Calendar,’ a local legend in Goa who had the wild ability to read time and space in ways no one else could. The project is part memory, part myth, and very much rooted in the places and people that shaped me.
If you’re into music that comes with a side of storytelling — the kind that digs into character, place, and emotion — I think you’ll find something here. The Spotify link to the album is below. Give it a spin.
